February 24, 2011
The meeting was called to order at 4:30 pm with 49 members present.
Recognition of new members – There were no new members sworn in.
Presidents Report –
The presidents Grievance summary is as follows –

Overlap conference on 2/18 at the hospital with mm mechanics and millwrights.

Other Business under the president’s report –
Discuss changes and actions with retirement. Met with attorneys and other unions. Age and eligibility requirements. Going to try to address this during negotiations. Cost sharing for retirees. 6 month changes in our contract. A grievance was submitted. Other unions are demanding the right to bargain.

New laws and bills – There is a lot of anti union legislation out right now and most likely some will pass.

- Scholarship committee – The topic is on the web.

- Apprenticeship committee – Awards dinner coming up march 3rd 13 honored. 2013 no more apprentices if they don’t hire any soon.
Unfinished Business –
Dinner dance – March 19th, looking for volunteers to help set up on Friday night.
John, Mark, Roger, Tino all volunteered to help set up .
New Buisness-
Good of the union –
The jacket drawing was held and number 358 William
Retenbach wasn’t
present so $20.00 more goes into the pocket.
